zU-studio has unveiled plans for a new luxury home in Costa Rica. The project, named N2 Private House, is inspired by the country's bird population. The design looks like a bird about to take off. N2 Private House is located at the top of a hill overlooking a beach and overlooking the beautiful landscape below.

On the ground floor, the house contains most of the common areas. These include an open-plan living room and kitchen, as well as a large courtyard that provides access to a nearby swimming pool. There are also three bedrooms on the ground floor, all of which overlook the ocean. The entire upper floor is used for two large bedrooms and there is access to roof terraces.

Natural light is central throughout and the building will feature generous glazing, including skylights. It will also be designed to maximise natural ventilation.

With more than 80 different species, Costa Rica is one of the most interesting countries when it comes to birds. According to the architect, the house is inspired by a local bird looking out over the horizon. It shows the moment the bird takes off by moving its wings. The simple yet original way of building fits this particular context. The design exudes simplicity and elegance and looks fresh, both inside and outside the house.

Construction of the home is expected to start in September.
