The 2022 editions of TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie will be opened by ASML CEO Peter Wennink and FME chairman Theo Henrar. The duo will welcome the audience of the largest B2B event for the manufacturing industry in the Benelux on 30 August in Jaarbeurs Utrecht.

Peter Wennink has been responsible for the development of machines for the semiconductor industry for more than two decades as top boss at the leading Dutch high-tech company. ASML is internationally regarded as one of the most important high-tech companies in the world. But so is it for the manufacturing industry in the Benelux. The Veldhoven-based company maintains an ecosystem of suppliers. According to estimates, every job at ASML creates two or three jobs at suppliers.

Wennink will be flanked by Theo Henrar. He was elected chairman of FME a year ago. The native of Amsterdam was board chairman of Tata Steel Netherlands/Corus Netherlands from 2008, responsible as Sales Director for the distribution units in Continental Europe and the UK and for Tata Steel's Packaging and Building Systems sales sectors in Europe.

Proud

According to George Wels, managing director (a.i) of FPT-Vimag, this heavy delegation at the opening of the TechniShow is proof that mechanical engineering and manufacturing technology are held in high regard. "FPT-Vimag, responsible for TechniShow for seventy years, unites entrepreneurs who are at the forefront when it comes to innovation. Our members provide the (inter)national manufacturing industry with technology and knowledge needed to produce efficiently and ensure its competitiveness. That a high-tech machine builder like ASML opens our event makes us even more proud than we already were of our sector."

TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie will take place from 30 August to 2 September in Jaarbeurs Utrecht. More information and register to visit via event.technishow.nl
